A: The license center should be configured as Administrator. Users can try configuring it again as Administrator:
right click “SuperMap.Desktop.LicenseInstaller.exe” in installation directory\SuperMap\Tools, select Run as Administrator, then configure it.
After finishing, double click “SuperMap.LicenseCenter.exe”in installation directory\SuperMap\Tools\SuperMapLicenseCenter, open the license center to check whether it is configured well.
It's recommended to install as Administrator, and it will automatically configure the license.
Q: Why doesn't it show icon and the help document can't be used when kaspersky is launched?
A: It may because that kaspersky prevents the Resources and WebHelp folder decompression. Please decompress the two files in installation directory\Program Files\SuperMap\.
Q: What kinds of DLLs and Dependent Libraries are necessary?

  • .NET componnets relies on .NET Framework 4.0 and above.
  • To install vcredist90_x86.exe in the Support folder will install the dlls for VC++2008. It's recomended to install 9.0.30729 and above;
  • The .NET components support OpenGL 1.5 or advanced editions;
  • .NET 3D needs opengl32.dll and glu32.dll.
Q: Can the documents of xml in the Bin directory be deleted?
A: No, they can't. Because the documents of xml in the Bin directory are the resource and configuration files of UGC, which include SuperMap.xml, EPSFont.xml, PrjConfig.xml, etc. If they are deleted, the software can't start up.
Q: What problems should draw our attention when selecting the hardware license?

  • If the hardware key is used in the virtual machine, it's needed to connect the hardware key to the VM by relevant settings.
  • Key service: after installing the hardware key, it's necessary to start a system service named hasplms.

Q: If we install two versions in a computer, it may cause version confusion because some files are overlapped. How to solve it?
A: After uninstalling, delete all the old files; or install a new version in a new folder.
Q: When installing in XP, it pops up it needs font libray.
A: Solution: install the font libraries which are not existed in XP by default to XP.
Q: will clash when there is only Framework 4.5 in Windows.
A: is based on Framework 4.0, so it's recommended to install Framework 4.0 again.
Q: suddenly can't be launched, what's the possible reasons?
A:
1 There are multiple license files in the computer. Check it in C:\Program Files\Common Files\SuperMap\License and keep only one valid license file.
2 The Userinfo.xml file which is about user experience plan fails to be generated. Please copy a right Userinfo.xml file from other people to put it in C:\Users\curren user name\AppData\Roaming(which is a hidden directory).
Q: Why can not I start iDesktop in my computer with a prompt "The application cannot access the files in the directory part of the program, please contact the administrator to modify the permissions of the program's folder."?
A: Windows OS has some controls in the reading and writing of folders. When putting the product package into directories like Program File, Program File(x86), or User, the system will give the prompt. There are two solutions to solve this problem.
Solution 1: Right-click on the file .exe and select Run as administrator. Every time you want to run it, you should operate like this. Solution 2: Right-click on the file .exe and select Properties. In the pop-up dialog box, click the Compatibility tab and check the checkbox Run this program as an administrator. And then the prompt information won't be shown permanently.
Q: Why did iDesktop crash when I used it on Windows XP OS?
A: iDesktop 10.0.0 and above versions don't support Winows XP OS any more.
