Configure a Private Cloud License

allows users to configure a private cloud license server within a LAN. Every user within the LAN can get the specified license module by accessing the server address. This article introduces how to configure a private license on Windows.

Instructions

  1. Configure a Private Cloud Server : Configure a private cloud server in the LAN, and then activate the related license modules through a license file. For specific operations on license server configuration, please refer to the instructions in the private-license-server start package.
  2. iDesktop provides two entrances for private cloud license configuration:

    • Start iDesktop. In the pop-up Licensing dialog box, click on the Config Private Cloud License to open the Select Private Cloud License dialog box.
    • If iDesktop is running with other kind of license, you can click File > License > Use Private Cloud License to change the current license to a private cloud license.
  3. Server Address : Enter the license server address in your LAN. The default port is 9183. Click Refresh to connect the server.
  4. After the successful connection, all granted license modules are listed in the Basic License area and the Extension License area.

    • Basic License Information : This area will show you what version the private license grants.
    • Extension License : This area will list all extra license modules.
    • License Type : includes trial private cloud license and official private cloud license. If you use a trial private cloud license, there will be words SuperMap on your map.
    • Total Count : The total number of licenses configured in the private cloud server.
    • Remain Count : How many licenses left in the current private cloud server. For example, if the total number of licenses is 10. There are 11 machines accessing the server, and then the last machine can’t get any license. The remain count is 0.
    • Time Left : How long left the current private cloud license is.
  5. Configure a local private cloud license module : check the license modules you want.

Note : If you don’t need the private cloud license any more, you can close iDesktop. The private license server will have the license back.
