A dataset cannot be added to a scene if its extent goes beyond the extent limit: latitude from -90 to 90 and longitude from -180 to 180. |
Q: |
Why can’t I select the text objects in a map when it is added to a scene? |
A: |
When a map is added to a scene, you can select the points, lines, regions, and text objects. You think you cannot select the text objects because they are not highlighted when selected. |

Q: |
Why is the screen map added to the scene gone when I open the scene next time? |
A: |
When adding a screen map to the scene, it is stored in the screen layer for temporary contents, therefore cannot be saved to the scene. |
Q: |
Why can’t I create model cache? |
A: |
You need to create a descriptive dataset to store the parameters needed for model cache creation in the attribute table of the dataset. The model path, latitude, longitude are the required fields for model cache creation. Except for an absolute path, you can specify a relative or absolute path to place the cached data. For instance, “./SGM/Hotel.sgm” and “SGM/Hotel.sgm” with the “./” ahead removed are identical, both representing a path relative to the startup program. Besides, you need to make sure the models used to create model cache are not moved when loading model cache. |
Q: |
Why is it different the display effect of the 3D line symbol in the scene from the one in the line editor? |
A: |
It is mainly caused by that the line width of them is different. |
