Display Filtering


In the Filter Display group of the Nautical Chart tab, there are functions for setting filter conditions, include display category, display water depth, display chart number, localized text, safety contour labels, minimum scale, etc.

Display Category

There are three categories: Standard, Base, and Other. If you select Standard, the default contents are displayed in the chart; if you select Base, the basic but undeletable contents are displayed in the chart; if you select Other, you can customize all features, such as water depth, meta objects, text etc.

Feature Control

Feature Control is used to display landmark features. There are two displaying ways: Visible and Selectable. If Visible is checked, features on the map can be visible; if Selectable is checked, features on the map can be selectable. For more detailed information, see Landmark Feature Control.

Show Meta Objects

It is used to display meta objects in the chart. The meta object is an object that contains common characteristics of all objects. The function of Meta Objects is available only when you select Other of the Display Category. If this box is checked, the meta-objects are displayed; otherwise, they are hidden.

Show Water Depth

Water Depth is to display the value of the water depth in the chart. It is available only when the display category is Other. If this box is checked, the water depth values are displayed; otherwise, they are hidden.

Show Chart Number

If this box is checked, the chart number is displayed; otherwise, it is hidden.

Show Text

If this box is checked, the text in the chart is displayed; otherwise, it is hidden.

Localized Text

Localized Text is used to display the text of features in a localized way. If this box is checked, the localized text is displayed; otherwise, it is hidden.

Show Low Precision Symbol

It is used to control whether the low precision symbol is displayed in the map window. Checking this box means displaying the symbols; Otherwise, not. In the S52 standard, it uses LOWACC01 to display.

Minimum Scale

Minimum Scale is used to indicate whether the landmarks zoom as the chart zooms. Check to hide landmarks, indicating the minimum visible scale of the landmarks is less than the current map scale.

Safety depth contour labels

If this box is checked, the safety depth contour is displayed; otherwise it is hidden.

Other depth contour labels

If this box is checked, the other depth contours are displayed; otherwise they are hidden.
