Geoprocessing Modeler Templates

iDesktop supports importing and exporting geoprocessing modeler templates. A template is a *.xml file essentially. It saves all tools together with their relations and parameters. You can share your geoprocessing modeler template. For example, you can apply it for data that will be divided into different areas but perform the same process in these areas.

Import a template

  1. In the Geoprocessing Modeler tab, click the Import button or right-click on the Model node in the Workspace Manager and then select Load Model Template…
  2. In the popup window, browse to your template and select it. And then click Open to add your template into a new geoprocessing modeler window.
  3. Reset parameters of all tools if required.

Import a template to the current window

  1. In the Geoprocessing Modeler tab, click the Import to Current Window.
  2. In the popup window, browse to your template file and select it to add it to the current geoprocessing modeler window.
  3. Reset parameters of all tools if required.

Export a template

  1. Right-click on the geoprocessing modeler window, and then select Save Model As… , or you can click on the Export… button in the Geoprocessing Modeler tab.
  2. In the pop-up dialog, type a name and a path, and then click Save.
