Saving the Work Environment

The work environment of the application program

You can get the user interface, or work environment, best suited for you through customizing in the Customize window.

You can have a set of work environments and all work environments are stored in the WorkEnvironment folder in your SuperMap Deskpro .NET installation directory. Each subfolder in the WorkEnvironment folder correspoinds to a work environment. When you start SuperMap Deskpro .NET, the default work environment is loaded. Meanwhile, all work environments are listed in the Select drop-down list in the Work Environment group under the View tab.

Since you can only customize the current work environment, you need to set the work envoironment you want to customize as the current work environment first.

How to save customized work environment

1. When your customization is done, you can click OK or Apply to save the customizations.
2. Also, you can click the Save As button at the bottom of the Customize window to save the current work environment as a new one.
3. Click the Save As button to display the Save As dialog box, type in a name for the new work environment, then click OK.
4. A subfolder with the specified name would be created under the WorkEnvironment folder in your SuperMap Deskpro .NET installation directory and all configuration files of the work environment are stored in the subfolder. Correspondingly, the new work environment would be displayed in the Select drop-down list in the Custom group under the View tab.
