Introduction
The S-57 Format function in the Export supports to convert the the datasource (UDB, Oracle, SQL) that contains charts to the chart data of *.000 format. This function is available only when the chart data exists in current window; otherwise, this function is unavailable.
Basic Steps
- Right click the group node that you to export, and select Export Nautical Chart to pup up an Export Nautical Chart dialog box.
- Click the Add icon to add the dataset group to the list box. You can add more than one dataset groups. Meanwhile, you can select or remove the groups using buttons on the tool bar.

List box
- Source Data : The dataset groups you want to export.
- Overwrite: The file with the same name in the target path will be overwritten. If this box is checked, the file with the same name will be written; otherwise, the file you want to export will not be exported.
- Target File : The default path for the charts to export. The name of the target file has the same name of the source datasource.
- Target Settings : Sets the path for exporting. Click the icon … to pop up Export Nautical Chart. You can re-specify the path and the name of the file to export.
- Target Type: displays and sets the format of output. You can click the drop-down button and select the output format in the drop-down list. The optional formats include 000 file and shp file.
- In the Export Nautical Chart dialog box, if Close when finished is checked, this dialog box will be closed automatically when the process is finished; if Show progress bar is checked, the progress bar will be displaying when the data is processing.

All of the files can be Exported to the list box by clicking Export.
- In the Export Nautical Chart dialog box, if Show progress bar is checked, the total count of files and the count of files that has been processed will be shown when the data is processing.
- You can click Cancel on the Export Progress window to cancel this operation. A dialog box will pop up to confirm you whether to cancel it. Click Yes to cancel this operation; click No to continue this operation.
Note
- Please export group data as a whole. The application does not support the export of a single dataset.
- The application doesn’t support exporting an attribute dataset as a *.shp file.
