Collaboration collection

Multiple members collect various types of land data within a certain area, upload them. And then the group owner integrates them. In this article, a single task is completed by a single member. Practically, multiple members can collaborate to complete a task , the operation is the same as in this example.

Create a group

The task leader creates a group “Collaboration”, and invites members “supermap_iMobile” to join the group.

  • On the home page of SuperMap iTablet click Explore > Online Cowork.

  • Click the Add icon on the right top corner > Create Group. In the pop-up page, enter group name, tag, sharers, and types. After all, click Create to create a member.
  • Note: if you set Sharer to All Members, all members in the group can upload resources to the group. Otherwise, only can the group owner upload resources.

The group is private

If you set Type to Private, only can the group owner invite new members.

  • After creating the group, in the dialog box Whether to invite members immediately you can determine whether to invite members directly. You can enter the invitation reasons and click Invite to invite members.
  • The invited members can accept or reject the invitation.

  • You also can select the group created above in MY GROUPS and click the plus icon to add members.

The group is public

If your group is public, other users can apply to join the group.

  • Click the Add icon on the right top corner > Join Group, click Join beside the group you want to join, enter the reason optionally, and click Apply.
  • When the group owner agreed, you can join the group.

Upload resources

  • Select the group created above in MY GROUPS, click the folder icon, select resource data, and click Upload. After all data uploaded, you can check data in the resource manager.

Create a task

  Please notice that only can the group owner create tasks.

  • Click the group created above in MY GROUPS. In the task-list page, click the plus icon to create a new task. In the Select Module select the functional module like Surveying, choose the resource data, check the members involved in the task, and click Confirm to assign jobs.

Perform the task

(1). Download a task

  • The group owner and members click the Download Task icon and then access the task.

(2). Publish a service

  • After the group owner accesses the task, click Layer to open the layer list. Click the Publish icon to publish data as a data service.

(3). Collect and upload data

  • When the member accesses the task, click the Service icon > the Download icon to download the data service.

  • After downloading the service, the member can click Layer to open the layer list. Set the collection layer to the current layer and start to collect data.

  • When data collection is finished, go back to the layer list, click the three-vertical-dots beside the collection layer, and select Submit Service to submit to the service.

Data integration

Publish a service

  • When the group owner accepts the update, he/she can access the Cowork Message and click Update to update local data. Or, you can click Layer to open the layer list. And then click the three-vertical-dots and select Update Local Service to update local data.

The group owner downloads all data from other members and integrates them together resulting a complete collection data.
