Workspace Management
Workspace is the working environment for all data operations. In the workspace, you can process data, analyze data, create 2D and 3D maps, and organize and manage data, including opening, closing, creating, and saving workspace files.
This section will introduce you to the following:
- Workspace Overview: Introduction to workspace, including hierarchy and types.
- Create Workspace: Introduces how to create new workspaces.
- Open Workspace: Introduces how to open an existing workspace.
- Manage Workspace: Introduces how to save, save as, and close workspace. Save and Save Workspace As allows you to save maps, scenes, thematic maps, etc. When you open saved workspace again, you can continue working based on the last save.
- View Workspace Properties: Introduces how to view workspace attributes, including information such as storage location, version, statistics, and file descriptions.
- Publish Workspace: Introduces how to publish workspaces saved locally or in a database to SuperMap iServer for data sharing.
- Upload/Download Workspace: Introduces how to publish the workspace saved locally or in the database to SuperMap Online or SuperMap iPortal, and convert local data to online data.
- Catalog Management: Introduces how to organize and manage workspaces, datasources, and other files, as well as connections to database datasources, online services, cloud storage.
- Workspace View: Introduces how to display and manage the contents of current workspace in a tiled arrangement of icons.
