Setting Layer Styles

SuperMap provides two methods to set the layer style, namely, the Layer Style panel and the Styles tab for setting point, line, polygon layer, and text styles.

  • Layer Style panel: In the layer manager, select the point, line, or polygon layer to be modified, double-click or right-click and select Layer Style.... The LayerStyle panel pops up on the right side of the map. The Symbol page of the LayerStyle panel is used to set point, line, polygon layer, and text styles. The Symbol layer drawing page is used to set the symbol draw order for line layers.
  • Styles tab: The Styles tab organizes four sets of functional controls: point style, line style, polygon style, and text style. When using the functional controls in the Styles tab to set object styles, the settings only apply to the current layer. Therefore, the layer whose style needs to be set must first be set as the current layer. When setting object styles, the results are reflected on the current layer in real-time, achieving a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) effect.

Note: The Styles tab is a contextual tab bound to the map. It only appears on the ribbon when the currently active window in the application is a map.

  • The layer's context menu in the layer manager supports quickly copying/pasting layer styles, currently supporting point, line, and polygon layers.
