Configure Simulation Layer

The first step in flood simulation analysis is to create a simulation layer and configure simulation parameters. Before creating and configuring the simulation layer, prepare the following data (all data must use the EPSG:4490 coordinate system):

  • Raster dataset (required): Serves as the base terrain for simulation analysis.
  • Optional data:
    • Model dataset: Hydraulic structures or other buildings that affect the flood flow process (EPSG Code:4490).
    • 3D surface dataset: Specifies the 3D surface data for the flood simulation analysis area (EPSG Code:4090), and contains only one surface data.

The configuration simulation layer module includes operations such as creating simulation layers, setting simulation region parameters, dividing calculation units, configuring simulation parameters, simulation layer parameters, and model data sources. Specific descriptions are as follows:

  • Create Simulation Layer: Describes how to create the target data source for flood simulation.
  • Simulation Region Settings: Describes how to draw the flood simulation analysis area.
  • Divide Calculation Units: Describes how to divide the flood simulation analysis area and calculate data such as nodes, edges, and units.
  • Configure Simulation Parameters: Describes how to configure flood simulation parameters such as evaporation, rainfall rate, participation layers, initial water depth, infiltration parameters, Manning's roughness coefficient, and time step.
  • Simulation Layer Parameters: Select the data source for flood simulation and the required datasets for water sources/channels/obstacles/water areas/study regions/parameter tables/units/edges/nodes.
  • Model Data Source: Select the data source for the hydrodynamic model.
