Import RVM

Instructions for use

The Import RVM "command is used to import RVM data in *.rvm format and add a Model Dataest node in the Target Datasource.

Operation steps

  1. Select Target Datasource or Create Datasource "in Workspace Manager.
  2. Click the Import RVM button in the BIM drop-down menu in the Model group on the 3D Data tab to bring up the Data Import "dialog.
  3. RVM path: click the folder button to select the RVM data to be imported.
  4. Result Dataset:
    • Target Datasource: Select the imported Datasource by right-clicking the Drop-down Button.
    • Result Dataset Name: Set Any String as the Resulting dataset name.
  5. Import Mode: The default is None. Three modes are provided: None, Append, and Overwrite. If there is a name conflict between the imported data and the Existing Data set, select the "None" mode to automatically modify the name of the imported data and import it; select the "Append" mode to append the data of the same category to a Dataset; Select "Overwrite" mode and the imported data will overwrite the existing Dataset with the same name.
  6. Model Center Point: Support the setting of parameters such as X, Y and Z of Model Center Point.
  7. Parameter Settings:
    • Projection Settings: The Projected Coordinate System can be set in either Projection Settings or Import Projection File. Please refer to "Set Projected Coordinate System." "for detailed operation steps.
  8. Click the "Import" button to refresh the Target Datasource in Workspace Manager, and the RVMDataset node will be added under the Target Datasource.
