Chart

Chart is a kind of map which takes ocean waters and coastal features as the main drawing objects, and provides the necessary data basis for the safety of navigation. The chart is mainly divided into ordinary chart and special chart. The chart mentioned in this document refers to the electronic navigation chart (ENC), which is a kind of special chart.

Electronic nautical charts are databases that are standardized in content, structure, and format for use by the Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) and are issued by a government-authorized hydrographic office. The ENC contains all the chart information required for safe navigation, and may also contain supplementary information that is not available on the paper chart but is considered necessary for safe navigation (such as sailing directions).

The SuperMap Chart Module provides support for opening S-57 Chart Data, Data Conversion and chart display. Chart Data conversion includes the import and export of data. In terms of Data Import function, Chart Module supports the import of Chart Data (*.000) based on S-57 digital hydrographic survey data transmission standard. After a 000 file is imported to the SuperMap desktop product platform, Store the same Chart Data set in a Dataset Group, which will contain different types of Vector Dataset (point, line, surface, attribute Dataset). In terms of Data Export function, Chart Module supports the export of data in SuperMap format, and each Dataset group is exported as a 000 file. In terms of chart display function, SuperMap desktop products support the display of Electronic Chart based on S-52 display standard, that is, by adding Chart Layer to the map and personalizing the Nautical Chart Properties of the map. To realize the standard display of the chart. On the Chart Check Data, the Chart Module checks the Chart Data according to the S-58 standard, that is, Check Data according to the standard, and prompts Errors, which is convenient for the user to modify, so as to ensure that the Chart Data can be exchanged and transmitted according to the international standard.
