Chart Dataset Group

In order to facilitate the unified management of Chart Data set, the concept of Dataset Group is introduced. Dataset Group is a logical organizational structure built to manage the Dataset in Datasource. The advantage of this data organization form is that the data organization level is clear and readable, which is convenient for users to manage Chart Data in a unified way.

A chart often contains dozens or even hundreds of Datasets, as shown in the left figure. For chart users, the focus is on the display of the whole chart, not a single Dataset. After Import Nautical Chart Data, SuperMap Application stores the Dataset of the same chart in a Dataset Group and hides each Dataset contained in the chart. Multiple groups can exist under the same Datasource, that is, multiple pieces of Chart Data can be organized under one Datasource. The grouped Chart Data can be opened, exported, edited, and Delete Group.

After Dataset Group

Chart Dataset Group is used to operate Chart Data in SuperMap Chart Module. Chart Group includes Editable Chart Group and Non-editable Chart Group. It also provides operations such as chart Dataset Group creation, conversion, and deletion. In Chart Edit mode, right click the Chart Group node, and set the Show Name of Chart Data set in the secondary menu of Display option. There are three Display Methods: Object Local Name, Object Abbre viation, Local Name and Abbre viation and Dataset Name.

To view Chart Data in the Dataset Group, you must first open the chart through the Dataset Group in Workspace.
