Add Map
Add the maps that exist in the current workspace to your dashboard. The supportive maps include general maps, online maps, and dynamic real-time maps. Maps are used as the base maps or background images of dashboards. A dashboard can add multiple maps at the same time. A dashboard can make the display of data more vivid by combining industrial data and maps.
- General map: general maps are the maps that created from data saved in file-based datasources and database-based datasources.
- Online maps: after opening a Web map, you can save it in the current workspace or configure your map with the Web map as the base map. The supportive Web maps include maps saved in services of OGC, iServerREST, GoogleMaps, MapWorld, OpenStreetMap, ChinaRS, and global topographic maps.
- Dynamic map: after accessing real-time streaming data, you can create dynamic maps from streaming data and local data and save them in workspaces.
Add maps and set properties
- Add maps: In Ribbon, click Dash Board > Maps. The application will add the first map saved in the current workspace to the dashboard as the background picture.
- Position: the position and size of a map element are adjustable. For specific parameter description, please refer to Common Parameters.
- Border: you can set the colors and effects of map borders . For specific parameter description, please refer to Common Parameter.
- Maps: you can switch the map added in the dashboard from the drop-down list.
