Manage MongoDB Tiles

Instructions

iDesktop can manage tiles. With a visual interface, you can load and check information of different tiles like: scales, coordinate systems, tile types, tile ranges, and so on. Besides, you can merge, distribute, and delete tiles.

  • The supported tiles include MongoDB tiles and local tiles (provided by iDesktopX).
  • The Union feature can merge MongoDB tiles and local tiles, MongoDB tiles and MongoDB tiles, and local tiles and local tiles.
  • The Distribution** feature can distribute tile data by specifying scales and bounds.

Function Entrances

Data tab > Data Management group > Tiles Management to open the Tiles Management window.

Load Tiles

Supports MongoDB tiles and local tiles.

  • Add MongoDB Tile : click the button to open the Add MongoDB Tile dialog box where you can enter the MongoDB server name, the database name, and tile data you want to add. Click OK to finalize the operation.
  • Add Local Tile : click on the button to open your local tiles (*.sci file).
  • Close : Click the Close icon to remove the selected tile data from the list.

Check Tiles

  • In the Tiles Management panel you can check detail information on tiles including tile types, coordinate, scale, and so on. For multi-version tiles, you can switch the version of tiles.
  • In the Tiles Management window, you can preview tile data. You can preview the tile bounds and tile content.

Delete tiles

Click on the Delete icon to remove tile data from the corresponding database. Note : once tile data is removed from a MongoDB database, you can not restore.
