Resume/Restore Tiles

Introduction

If the operation of generating tiles is interrupted suddenly because of the power outage, the program unexpectedly quits, and so on, a *.log file recording the tile information at the moment as the operation is interrupted will be produced under the same level directory of the *.sci file. The feature Resume/Restore Tiles will continue to execute the unfinished tasks by reading the log file.

Note : You can create only one task to resume the tile generation.

  • Only can raster tiles be resumed.
  • You can use the Map Tiles (Single-task) feature to resume the tile generation.

Function Entrances

  • Right click on your map in the Workspace Manager and select Map Tiles (Single-task).
  • Open your map, right-click on the map window, and select Map Tiles (Single-task).
  • Open your map and click Maps tab > Mapping > Single-task.

Operating Instructions

  1. In the Map Tiles (Single-task) dialog box select Resume/Restore Tiles and specify the *.sci file in the Tile Config File text box.
  2. The program will check whether there is a resume.log file under the same folder as the configuration file (*.sci). If not, the program will prompt you lacking log files and can not continue generating tiles. Else, the dialog box “Single-task: Resume Map Tiles” will pop up. RecoverTilesDia
  3. The program obtains tile scales and related parameters by reading the configuration file (*.sci). Therefore, we can not modify them. Click OK to continue the unfinished tasks.
