Instructions
Data configuration is used to import and organize the borehole data required for geological modeling before starting the modeling process, providing a unified data foundation for subsequent structural modeling workflows.
Through the Data Configuration dialog box, you can add files by data type (see the table below), set the mapping relationship between internal data fields and external data column positions, and select the fields to be imported.

Application Scenarios
- Import borehole location, borehole trajectory, and borehole stratification data at the early stage of a geological modeling project.
- Map column names or column positions in the file to the system's internal fields to manage borehole data uniformly.
- Extract the project area range based on the imported borehole data and save it to the current project settings.
Function Condition Description
- A data source for storing project data has been specified in the Geological Modeling tab.
- A geological modeling project has been created or selected, and the project name and area range have been set as needed.
- Corresponding data files have been prepared, such as the borehole information file *.hed, borehole trajectory file *.dev, and borehole stratification file *.top.
- Before import, ensure that the file column names, column order, coordinate units, and depth units are consistent with the project data requirements.

Operation Instructions
The data configuration dialog supports importing Borehole Location, Borehole Trajectory_Deviation, or Borehole Stratification. The specific configuration requirements are as follows:
- Data Configuration—Borehole Location: Introduces borehole location data fields and import requirements.
- Data Configuration—Borehole Trajectory: Introduces borehole trajectory file import and configuration of depth, deviation angle, and azimuth fields.
- Data Configuration—Borehole Layering: Introduces borehole stratification fields, file types, and attribute field configuration.
After importing data, you can extract the area range of the current project based on the system prompt. Before extraction, ensure that the coordinate range and elevation range of the imported data are valid.
Notes:- Currently, only borehole data in a geodetic coordinate system can participate in geological model construction. Therefore, setting the borehole data coordinate system to a geographic coordinate system is prohibited.
- For fields selected for import, valid external data column positions must be set, and the column positions must be consistent with the file content shown in the bottom preview table.
- When importing multiple files, ensure that the field structure of different files under the same data type is consistent to avoid the same field corresponding to different columns in different files.
- Extracting the area range affects the modeling range of the current project. Before saving, check whether the left, bottom, right, top, and elevation ranges match the actual data range.
- If you choose not to extract the area range, manually check or modify the current area range in the Work Area Settings panel, and click Save and Apply.
