Modify Graduated Color Label Thematic Map

Feature Description

Users can modify various parameters of the graduated color label thematic map in the "Graduated Color Label Thematic Map" window to achieve a thematic map effect that better meets their needs.

Operation Steps

When creating a label segment thematic map based on a region layer, the "Thematic Map" layer properties panel is organized into three tabs: "Properties", "Styles", and "Advanced". All properties and parameters of the label thematic map can be modified through these three tabs to update the thematic map.

Detailed descriptions are as follows:

All parameters in the "Graduated Color Label Thematic Map" window are reflected in real time on the corresponding thematic map layer in the current map, achieving a what-you-see-is-what-you-get effect. Users can also disable real-time refresh by unchecking the "Enable Instant Refresh" check box at the bottom of the dialog box. If the "Enable Instant Refresh" check box is not selected, users can click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the dialog box after completing all parameters to apply the parameters to the current thematic map.

  1. In the Layer Manager, select a graduated color label thematic map, right-click, and choose "Modify Thematic Map" from the context menu that appears. The "Graduated Color Label Thematic Map" window will pop up, displaying the settings information of the selected graduated color label thematic map.
  2. Thematic Map Layer: Displays the name of the currently presented thematic map.
  3. Apply Text Template: In the Layer Manager, select the application scope as needed:
    • Apply to Entire Layer: Click to select the target graduated color label thematic map layer.
    • Apply to Partial Range Items: Hold down the Ctrl or Shift key to select one or more range segments.

    Switch to the Styles tab, and in the Text Template drop-down menu, select the desired template. The system will automatically apply the template style to the objects you have selected: if a layer is selected, it covers the entire map; if range segments are selected, it only affects those items, and unselected range segments remain unaffected.

Tip:
  • Both created and modified single symbol label thematic maps can be saved as templates for application to thematic map creation for other layers. For details on saving as a thematic map template, refer to Save to Thematic Map Template Library.
  • When creating a thematic map using a template, you can directly select a saved template from the Template drop-down menu and apply it to the creation of other thematic maps.
