"Style" Tab: Used to set the font style used by the label objects (text) in the current segmented label thematic map.

Segmentation Expression: This combo box is used to set the thematic variable of the segmented label thematic map. The property field involved in the segmentation must be a numeric field. Label objects corresponding to objects whose thematic values fall within the same range segment will be displayed using the same text style, while label objects corresponding to objects in different range segments will have different text styles.
- The drop-down list of the combo box lists the names of numeric property fields of the vector dataset that can be used to create a segmented label thematic map. The user can select any field to change the thematic variable used for the current segmentation, or enter a field name in the combo box, but this field must exist in the drop-down list of the combo box. The user can also select the "Expression..." item from the drop-down list of the combo box and construct a mathematical expression for the property field in the "SQL Expression" dialog that pops up.
- After the field expression is constructed, click the "Refresh" button to the right of the combo box, and the current segmented label thematic map will use the new thematic variable to re-segment the label objects (text) and configure their styles, and refresh the display effects.
Segmentation Method: The combo box on the right is used to set the segmentation method for the thematic values. The drop-down list of the combo box lists all segmentation methods provided by the application, and the user can choose an appropriate segmentation method from it.
Segments: Used to set the number of segments into which the thematic values are divided, i.e., the final number of range segments obtained.
Single Segment Length: Used to set the interval distance for segmentation, i.e., the length of each range segment. This setting is only effective when the segmentation method is set to Custom Interval.
Segment Title Format: Used to specify the format for expressing the value range of each range segment. Two main formats are provided, as shown in the figure above.
Color Scheme: The combo box to the right of the label is used to set the text color style used by the label objects within each range segment in the segmented label thematic map. The drop-down list of the combo box provides a series of color schemes. When a color scheme is selected, the text of the label objects in each range segment is assigned different colors according to the color change pattern of the color scheme. The current segmented label thematic map will then use the new color scheme to reconfigure the text color of the label objects and refresh the display effects.
Rotation Angle: If this check box is checked, you can enter a value in the input box on the right as the rotation angle for the labels. You can also directly select a field from the drop-down list and use its field values as the rotation angle for the labels. This type supports numeric and text fields.
Label Range Segment List: The bottom area of the "Style" tab is the list of all label range segments in the current segmented label thematic map. This list is mainly used to display the value range of the divided range segments and to control the text style and other display controls used by the label objects within each range segment. Each item in the list corresponds to a label range segment.
- Set whether objects corresponding to thematic values are visible: Used to control whether the label objects belonging to the label range segment corresponding to this item in the segmented label thematic map layer are displayed. Click this icon to control the display.
- Set the annotation content for thematic values: The text content displayed on each item in the label range segment list is the value range of the range segment corresponding to that item. Its format is controlled by the "Segment Title Format:". Double-click the text content, and it becomes editable, allowing the user to edit it, thereby changing the displayed content on the label range segment item.
Adjust the breakpoint values for segmenting thematic values: The column of numeric display boxes to the right of the label range segment list is used to display and set the breakpoint values for segmenting all thematic values based on the segmentation thematic variable. Each numeric display box corresponds to a breakpoint. The breakpoint value can be changed through this numeric display box, and the changed result will be reflected in real-time on the current segmented label thematic map layer.
Set the selected label range segment items: The buttons in the middle area of the "Style" tab are mainly used to handle the display style, visibility, etc., of the label range segment items selected in the label range segment list.
- Display Style: After selecting one or more label range segment items (hold down the Shift key to select multiple items), click the Style button. In the text style dialog that pops up, you can modify the text label style of the selected range labels, apply a text template, or save the current text of the selected single-value label as a text template.
  - Select a Text Template...: Used to apply an existing text template to the current label range segment item. Click this button, select a text template in the Select Style Template window that pops up, and click OK to apply it. After application, you can continue to modify the font, font size, color, and font effects, etc.
  - Add to Text Template...: Used to save the text effects of the current range label as a text template. Click this button, enter the template name in the Add to Text Template window that pops up, and set the target template library. When selecting an existing template library, the new template will be added to the selected library. After both the template name and the template library are filled in completely and pass validation, click OK to complete the addition. If you also need to generate a local copy of the template, you can check Export Template to Local at the Same Time and set the save location.
- The Merge button is used to merge multiple selected consecutive label range segments into one label range segment. The value range of the merged segment is the union of the value ranges of all merged segments. If no or only one label range segment is selected, or if the selected multiple label range segments are not consecutive, this button is unavailable.
- The Split button is used to split a single selected label range segment into two new range segments.
- The Text Style button is used to set the text style of all selected label range segments, meaning that labels belonging to the selected label range segments will be displayed using the set text style. After selecting one or more label range segment items (hold down the Shift key to select multiple items), click this button, and the user can set the text label style of the selected label range segments in the text style dialog that pops up.
- The Visible button is used to control the visibility of label objects belonging to the selected label range segment items in the current segmented label thematic map. Multiple label range segment items can be selected simultaneously.

Tip:

The default display for fields in the drop-down lists of Segmentation Expression and Rotation Angle is Field Alias. If necessary, you can switch to the field name in the File tab -> Options group. For details, please refer to the Preferences document.
