"Style" Tab
"Style" Tab: Used to configure the font style for label objects (text) in the current Ranged Label Thematic Map.
- Segmentation Expression: This combo box sets the thematic variable for the Ranged Label Thematic Map. The property field used for segmentation must be numeric. Label objects corresponding to features within the same value range will share identical text styles, while those in different ranges will display distinct text styles.
- The dropdown list displays numeric property fields from vector datasets eligible for creating Ranged Label Thematic Maps. Users may select any field to modify the current thematic variable or input an existing field name. Choosing "Expression..." from the dropdown opens the "SQL Expression" dialog for constructing mathematical expressions with property fields.
- After building the field expression, click the "Refresh" button beside the combo box. The current Ranged Label Thematic Map will re-segment label objects (text) using the new thematic variable and update display effects.
- Graduated Method: The right-side combo box specifies the segmentation approach for thematic values. The dropdown lists all available graduated methods provided by the application.

- Segments: Determines the number of value ranges for thematic value segmentation.
- Interval Length: Specifies the interval distance between segments. This option only applies when using Custom Interval as the graduated method.
- Segment Title Format: Defines the format for expressing each segment's value range, offering two predefined formats as illustrated above.
- Color: The combo box beside this label sets text color styles for label objects in each segment. The dropdown provides multiple color options. Selected colors will apply varying color schemes to labels in different segments, with display effects updating automatically.
- Label Range List: The bottom section displays all label ranges in the current Ranged Label Thematic Map. This list shows value ranges and controls text styles/display settings for labels within each range. Each entry represents a label range segment.
-
Control Feature Visibility:
Toggles visibility of label objects belonging to specific ranges in the thematic map layer. Clicking the icon switches between
(visible) and
(hidden) states.
- Modify Label Content: Double-click the text content (displaying value ranges in format determined by "Segment Title Format") to edit range segment labels directly.
- Adjust Breakpoint Values: The numeric input boxes on the right side display and modify segmentation breakpoints for the thematic variable. Changes immediately update the Ranged Label Thematic Map layer.
- Modify Selected Range Segments: Buttons in the middle section manage display styles and visibility of selected range segments in the list.
- Merge Button: Combines multiple consecutive selected ranges into one segment (union of value ranges). Disabled if selections are non-consecutive or insufficient.
- Split Button: Divides a single selected range into two new segments.
- Text Style Button: Sets text styles for all selected range segments. Labels within selected ranges will adopt the configured style. Use Shift to multi-select items before clicking.
- Visibility Button: Controls label visibility for selected range segments. Supports multiple selection.
