Preferences

Manage various software preferences in the File tab -> Options group. You can adjust these settings based on your personal usage habits to enhance operational efficiency and software experience. All settings are saved on the current computer and do not require reconfiguration when switching product packages.

Common

Operations

  • Auto open window for dataset
    • Selected (Default): Double-clicking a dataset in the workspace manager automatically creates a new map window to browse its data information.
    • Unselected: Double-clicking a dataset in the workspace manager directly opens the data in the current map.
  • Prompt to save on close
    • Selected (Default): Prompts to save when closing a map, scene, layout, or other window containing unsaved content.
    • Unselected: Closes the window directly without a save prompt.
  • Prompt to save workspace on close
    • Selected (Default): Prompts to save when closing a workspace containing unsaved content.
    • Unselected: Closes the workspace directly without a save prompt.
  • Warn memory datasource on close
    • Selected (Default): Prompts for confirmation when closing a workspace containing an in-memory datasource to avoid data loss.
    • Unselected: Closes the workspace directly without a prompt.
  • Auto close empty map
    • Selected: Automatically closes a map when all layers are removed from it.
    • Unselected (Default): Keeps the map even when it contains no layers.
  • Multi-line display window
    • Selected: Automatically displays window titles in new lines when there are too many titles.
    • Unselected (Default): When there are too many window titles, the excess ones are hidden in a dropdown menu.

  • Auto close dialog on success
    • Selected (Default): Automatically closes the parameters dialog after a tool runs successfully.
    • Unselected: Keeps the parameters dialog after a tool runs successfully.
  • Window Maximum Length: Sets the maximum display length for window titles such as map, attribute table, and scene. Default is 400 pixels.

  • Show lightweight output
    • Selected (Default): Automatically displays the latest output information in the bottom output window.
    • Unselected: Does not automatically display output information; you must click the output window to view it manually.
  • Enable map & layer anti-aliasing
  • Refresh interval when map size changes: Sets the redraw wait time during map zooming. Default is 0 milliseconds (redraws immediately after zooming completes).
  • Load template layer name
    • Default Layer Name: Uses "Dataset@Datasource" as the layer name.
    • From template file: The layer name is consistent with the name in the template file.
  • Thematic Map Field Display: Used to set the display method for selected fields in a thematic map. Default displaysField Alias. Supports switching to displayField Name.
  • Enable User Experience Plan
    • Selected (Default): Allows automatically sending product operation information to SuperMap when connected to the internet.
    • Unselected: Does not send any product operation information.

Selection Style

  • Point Style: Click the point symbol setting button to set the shape and color of selected points in the marker symbol selector.
  • Line Style: Click the line symbol setting button to set the shape and color of selected lines in the line selector.
  • Fill Style: Click the fill symbol setting button to set the shape, color, etc., of selected fill symbols in the fill symbol selector.

Environment

Basic Settings

  • Desktop Title: Sets the name displayed at the top of the software window. Default is the current version name, followed by unmodifiable license information.
  • Visible Decimal Places: Controls the number of decimal places displayed for numerical values. Default is 6.
  • Parallel Computing Thread Count: Specifies the number of threads available for parallel computing. Range is [1,16], default is 2. Proper settings can fully utilize multi-core CPU resources and improve computing efficiency.
  • Analysis Memory Mode
    • Standard (Default): Forces reading stored data using the recordset method.
    • Large Memory: Forces reading data using the memory method, unaffected by available physical memory.
  • Scene Rendering Engine
    • V1 (Default): Uses the V1 3D scene rendering engine based on OpenGL.
    • V2: Uses the V2 3D scene rendering engine based on Vulkan.
  • Scene Anti-Alias
    • Selected (Default): Optimizes model edge display and reduces jagged edges. The anti-aliasing factor defaults to 2, with a range of [0,16].
    • Unselected: Does not enable the scene anti-alias function.
  • Customize Watermark
    • Selected: When enabled, a customized watermark will be displayed during tile creation or map export. Only PNG format images are supported, and the size should not exceed 128×128 pixels.
    • Unselected (Default): Uses the default watermark or no watermark, depending on the License Type.
  • GPU Acceleration
    • Selected (Default): Enables GPU acceleration for certain analysis functions when hardware conditions are met to improve analysis performance.
    • Unselected: Does not enable GPU acceleration.
  • Use Thousand Separator
    • Selected (Default): Automatically adds thousand separators to numerical values exceeding a thousand.
    • Unselected: Does not use thousand separators.
  • Match Dataset & Table Names
    • Selected: The dataset alias cannot be changed and remains consistent with the table name.
    • Unselected (Default): Allows setting the dataset alias separately.
  • Auto-Compact New Datasource
    • Selected (Default): Automatically enables data compaction when creating a new UDB/UDBX datasource. Disk space is automatically reclaimed if data is deleted.
    • Unselected: Does not enable the data compaction function.
  • Async Mapping
    • Selected (Default): Draws points, lines, polygons, and other map elements in an independent thread to improve responsiveness.
    • Unselected: Draws points, lines, polygons, and other map elements in the main thread.

Runtime Settings

  • File Tiles Path: Sets the storage path for cache files in the workspace.
  • Component Log Level: Sets the recording level for error logs, including the following options:
    • DEBUG: For developers, contains all information.
    • ERROR (Default): For users, contains errors that may be caused by illegal operations, etc.
    • FATAL: Contains severe errors.
    • INFO: Contains detailed log information.
    • WARNING: Contains all warning information.
  • Output Info
    • Output Info:
      • Selected (Default): Outputs prompts from the execution log, such as successful dataset creation.
      • Unselected: Does not output prompts.
    • Exceptions:
      • Selected: Outputs exception information from the execution log.
      • Unselected (Default): Does not output exception information.

Save

Specifies whether to automatically back up the workspace.

  • Selected (Default): Saves the workspace and symbol library at specified intervals.
    • Workspace Save Interval: Sets the time interval for backing up the workspace. Default is 30 minutes.
    • Symbol Library Save Interval: Sets the time interval for backing up the symbol library. Default is 60 minutes.
    • Display auto-save workspace information: Checked by default, meaning a prompt is given in the output window when the workspace is saved. For example: Workspace "China" saved successfully.
  • Unselected: Does not enable the automatic workspace backup function.

System Env

Used to set the software's system environment variables. Instructions for adding system environment variables are as follows:

  1. Click the Add button to open the Add Environment Variable dialog.
  2. Enter the Variable and Value (separate multiple variable values with a semicolon (;)).
  3. After confirming the information is correct, click the OK button.

Language

Used to switch the interface language of the current software. Currently, only Simplified Chinese is supported.

Remote Sensing Environment

Organizes unified configuration parameters for remote sensing data processing, including parallel count and parallel strategy. Avoids repetitive settings for each data processing task, simplifies workflows, and improves processing efficiency.

  • Parallel Count: Specifies how many processes to start simultaneously to execute data processing functions. Default value is 6.
  • Parallel Strategy: Provides two strategies, Block Parallel and File Parallel, to improve file processing efficiency.
    • Block Parallel: Recommended when computer disk performance is slow or the image does not have pyramid files.
    • File Parallel: Recommended when computer disk performance is high and there are many files.
