Function Description

The data points obtained by lidar are very dense, also known as Point Cloud Data. Lidar data stores information such as X, Y coordinate positions, elevation values, etc. Support the import of radar Data in *.txt format into 2D or 3D Dataset.

Function entrance

• Start tab-> Data Processing-> Data Import.
• In Workspace Manager, select the Datasource to import to-> right-click-> Import Dataset...
• Toolkit-> Data Import-> LIDAR-> Import TXT.

Operating instructions

1. On the Data Import dialog, in the toolbar, click the Add File button. Add the Lidar file in *.txt format to be imported. Please refer to the introduction to Import Data for the adding method.
2. After adding, click the Drop-down Button on the right of the cell corresponding to File Type in the File List, and the Select File type is Lidar File.
3. Target Datasource, Result Dataset, Encode Type, Import Mode, and Parameter Description of Source File Info: in Result Data. See the Data Import Public Parameter description page.
4. Transformation Parameters
   • Import Attributes: Check this parameter to indicate the attributes of Import Data.
5. After setting, click the Import button to import the *.txt file of Lidar data.
6. The result after successful import is shown in the following figure:
