Import Data
Function Description
More than 80 data formats are available for import. See the Data Formats Supported by Type Conversion page for supported import formats. The functions in the Data Import drop-down menu are available only if the Datasource is present in the Current Works pace.
Function entrance
- Start tab-> Data Processing group-> Data Import button.
- In Workspace Manager-> Datasource Context Menu-> Import Dataset...
Operating instructions
- Click the Start tab-> Data Processing group-> Data Import button to bring up the Data Import dialog.
- Click the Add button (or double-click the list box on the left) and specify the files to Import on the Select File dialog.
- The specified file is displayed in the list box of the Data Import dialog box. The specified data can be added or removed from the toolbar. The list is described as follows:
- Source Data: shows the name of the files to Import.
- File Type: shows the Data Type to Import files.
- Status: Before the data is imported, the Status item is displayed as Not transferred; if the data is imported successfully, it is displayed as Succeeded; if the data is not imported successfully, it is displayed as Failed.
- Select one or more files in the list box on the right side of the Parameter SettingsArea SettingParameters. The parameters displayed in the Parameter Settings area on the right side of different types of data are different. For a description of public parameters, see Public Parameter Settings.
- Select the Auto Close When Finshed check box at the bottom of the dialog to control the Auto Close dialog when Data Import ends.
- Click the Import button, and the system displays All Data in the Batch Import list box. During Data Import, the Import Progress dialog is displayed. If you click the Cancel button in the dialog, the current import operation is terminated and Map prompts Failed Import.
Caution:
- Currently, only SKP data below SketchUp2021 can be imported.
- If the user selects multiple Raster Files or Vector Files in the list box at the same time, the Parameter Settings area will display the Settings item according to the last selected data format.
- If the user selects both Raster File and Vector File in the list box, only public parameters are displayed in the Parameter Settings area. After
- Data Import, the coordinate system of Dataset is consistent with the Data Source Coordinate System by default.
