Registration Parameters

Feature Description

When partial camera parameters are known, inputting these known parameters along with selected control points during calibration registration can improve alignment accuracy through fitting calculation.

Before using Registration Parameters functionality, control point selection between video and map should be performed in the registration view to provide sample data. For pin-pointing instructions, refer to Calibration Registration page.

Feature Entry

  • Video Registration tab->Calibration Registration group->Registration Parameters.

Parameter Description

  • X: Longitude coordinate of camera location.
  • Y: Latitude coordinate of camera location.
  • Z: Absolute elevation or relative height of camera.
  • FovX: Horizontal field of view (in degrees).
  • FovY: Vertical field of view (in degrees).
  • Iterations: Number of fitting calculations. Generally higher iterations improve accuracy, but effectiveness plateaus after reaching optimal count. Default: 1000.
  • Sample Count: Number of samples for fitting calculation. Works with iterations to enhance accuracy. Effectiveness stabilizes after reaching sufficient samples. Default: 200.
  • Height Involved In Computation: Enable when registration point heights are set accurately for better results. Disable if heights are unset or inaccurate.
Notes:
  • X/Y/Z represent camera coordinates. Range values can be input if exact values are unknown. FovX/FovY values are typically available in camera specifications - leave blank if unknown.
  • Registration Parameters is not mandatory for Calibration Registration. Users may skip parameter setting if camera parameters are completely unknown.
