GIS data

GIS data is the basis of geographic information system, which is to display, edit, process, analyze, print and output GIS data. The Operation object of GIS is Spatial Data, that is, geographic entities such as point, line, surface and body (three-dimensional elements). GIS data structure is generally divided into data structure based on Vector Model and data structure based on raster model.

This chapter mainly introduces the relevant contents of GISSpatial Data, including the source of GISSpatial Data, vector structure data, raster structure data and data-related basic knowledge.

Executive summary

This paper mainly introduces several main sources of GIS Spatial Data.

This paper introduces two common Spatial Data structures, namely Vector Data structure and Raster Data structure.

The definition, expression and source of Vector Data structure are introduced.

This paper introduces the definition and main sources of Raster Data, as well as the basic knowledge of Raster Data, such as pixel, band, spatial representation, compression coding, Image Pyramid, etc.
