The Unique Value Map uses attribute information from one (or multiple) fields of a layer, represented by different symbols (line types or fill symbols), to distinguish between different attribute values. The 3D Unique Value Map primarily emphasizes the differences among thematic items and is commonly used for thematic maps with categorical attributes, such as land use type maps and administrative division maps. For more information about Unique Value Maps, please refer to Unique Value Map.
The "Make Thematic Map" function interface, accessed via the Thematic Map button in the Scene tab Data group, organizes the functionality for creating 3D Unique Value Maps for 3D layers of vector dataset types in the scene.
Note: The application does not support creating Unique Value Maps for 3D layers of text vector datasets or model dataset types.
There are three ways to create a 3D Unique Value Map:
- Create a New 3D Unique Value Map
- Create a 3D Unique Value Map Based on a Template
- Modify a 3D Unique Value Map
