Import GIM

Instructions for use

The Import GIM command is used to import GIM data in *.GIM format and add a Model Dataest node in the Target Datasource.

Function entrance

  • 3D Data tab-> Model group-> BIM drop-down menu-> Import GIM
  • Toolbox -> 3D Data -> Data Import -> Import GIM
  • Workspace Manager -> Specify DatasourceContext Menu -> Import BIM Data pull-down menu-> GIM

Operation steps

  1. Select Target Datasource or Create Datasource in Workspace Manager.
  2. On the 3D Data tab, click the Import GIM button in the BIM drop-down menu in the Model group to bring up the Import GIM "dialog.
  3. Perform Source Data Settings and Result Data Settings as needed. See the Import GIM tool page for specific parameters.
  4. Click Run to refresh the Target Datasource in Workspace Manager. A GIMDataset node will be added under the Target Datasource. The coordinate system of the Result Dataset is EPSG Code: 4490.
