SuperMap Online Map refers to hosting configured maps from SuperMap iDesktopX on SuperMap Online or iPortal, accessible via desktop or browsers. It supports browsing, share service, and downloading operations, while also allowing local maps to be uploaded to SuperMap Online or iPortal for others to view and download.
In the Cloud Data panel of Workspace Manager, click the Online Map tree node to view online maps from server addresses. These are categorized into digital map, world map, thematic map, shaded relief map, economic zone map, electronic chart, etc., viewable by map type.

View Map
- Map Preview: Click any map in the list to preview it in current window, supporting zoom in/out and full view operations. During browsing, the right panel displays map name, detail description, service URL, coordinate system, layer bounds, provider, update date, etc.
Map preview - Download Data: Click the Download Data button at map's bottom-right to save online map data locally.
- Open Service: Click the Open Service button to open the map service as Web datasource in current workspace, automatically displaying in map for basemap editing.
- Share Service: Click the Share Service button to display server address and QR code in Map Service dialog for sharing.
Download Map
SuperMap Online provides abundant map resources for local download. Note: Login with SuperMap Online account for SuperMap Online data, or iPortal account for iPortal data.
After login, select desired map in Online Map list, click Download Data at preview window's bottom-left, select storage path and click OK. Monitor progress in Task Manager. After download, decompressed data can be directly opened in .
Share Map
supports sharing local maps to SuperMap Online/iPortal for others to view/download. Shared maps are accessible via browsers/desktops, with downloadable permissions. Steps:

In Workspace Manager: Map node -> Select target map -> Right-click -> Share Map...
Parameter Description
In Maps Tab of Share Map panel:
- Select Map: Check desired maps from current workspace list.
- Map Icon: System-generated default icon can be replaced with local image (*.png, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.bmp).
- Category: Organize maps for quick search.
- Label: Input tags (semicolon-separated) for grouping/searching.
- Detail Description: Describe map content for user understanding.
- Host Address: Choose SuperMap Online or current iPortal from dropdown.
- Visibility: Set public access (anyone/groups) based on host platform.
Workspace must be uploaded simultaneously. In Workspace Tab:
- Currently Open: Displays active workspace name.
- Local Data: Check to select local workspace.
- Name: Set display name after upload.
- Icon: Choose image file for workspace icon (*.png, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.bmp).
- Category: Categorize workspace.
- Label: Input tags (semicolon-separated) for search.
- Detail Description: Describe workspace content.
- Upload Directory: Select/create target directory with catalog management functions.
- Visibility: Set access permissions matching host platform.
After configuration, click Share in panel to upload. Monitor progress in Task Manager, supporting pause/cancel operations.
Shared maps appear in Online Map list under Cloud Data panel, with workspaces accessible in Workspace data list.
