"Attributes" Tab

Used to configure style settings for charts in statistical thematic maps. All configurations in this tab will be instantly reflected in current statistical label thematic maps, providing WYSIWYG editing.

  1. Color: The "Color scheme:" combo box dropdown lists system-provided color schemes. Selecting a scheme will automatically assign colors to each rendered field value. Users can click the drop-down button to the right of the combo box and select a color from the dropdown list. Each statistic field in current statistical thematic map will be assigned different colors based on the selected color gradient pattern.
  2. Diagrams Type: The system provides 11 chart types: Line chart, Dot chart, Bar chart, 3D bar, Pie chart, 3D pie, Rose chart, 3D rose, Stacked bar, 3D stacked bar, and Ring chart. Users can click the drop-down button to the right of "Graph type:" to select desired diagram type.
  3. Statistical Value Resampling Methods: Determines chart size and proportional representation of thematic variables. Three resampling methods are provided: Constant, Logarithmic, and Square root. Logarithmic and square root methods cannot be used for fields containing negative values.
    • Constant: Performs classification using linear scaling of original values.
    • Logarithmic: Performs classification using linear scaling of natural logarithm values.
    • Square root: Performs classification using linear scaling of square root values.
  4. Add or Remove Field: Statistical thematic maps can express values from one or more fields. Use "Add" and "Remove" buttons in the toolbar to modify statistic fields. The map will automatically update using modified thematic variables.
    • Add Field: Click the drop-down button on "Add" button to view all available fields. Check boxes before required statistic fields, or click "Expression..." to build field expressions in SQL Expression dialog.
    • Remove Field: Select one or multiple fields in the statistic field list at bottom, then click "Remove" button to delete unwanted fields.
  5. Reorder Fields: Use four field reordering buttons in the toolbar to adjust field positions in the list. Field order affects their positions in statistical thematic maps.
    • Move to Top: Brings selected field to top of list.
    • Move Up: Moves selected field up one position.
    • Move Down: Moves selected field down one position.
    • Move to Bottom: Sends selected field to bottom of list.
  6. Chart Styles: Configure chart styles via style buttons in toolbar or individual field style buttons.
    • "Fill style" button: Select one or multiple fields (hold Shift for multiple selection), then click this button to uniformly configure fill styles in Fill Symbology Style window. Users can also click "Fill style" items directly in field list for individual adjustments.
    • When modifying styles for multiple subitems, hold Shift to select target items, then click "Style" button to batch modify styles via Change Style dialog.

Notes

When diagram type is "Area chart" or "Step chart", only the first segment color in selected color scheme will be applied.
