Operation Instructions

  1. Template: Displays the name of this template. By default, it uses the name of the map.
  2. Layer: The layer list displays all layers contained in this template. Clicking a selected layer again will display the categories contained in that layer in the list on the right. To delete a layer, right-click the selected layer and click Delete in the context menu.
  3. Add button: Used to add categories to the selected layer. Clicking the Add button will bring up the Template Properties dialog box. After setting the relevant information, click the OK button to add a category to the current layer.
  4. Delete button: Select one or more records in the list on the right, then click the Delete button to delete the selected records.
  5. Copy button: Select a record in the list on the right, then click the Copy button to duplicate a category.
  6. Search: Supports searching for categories in selectable layers directly by name or tag in the search box. After searching, the panel will only display categories matching the entered keywords.

  8. Name/Tag: Double-click the cell to enter edit mode, then input the desired content. Supports using Chinese or English semicolons ";" to separate multiple tags.
  9. Properties button: Click the button in the Properties column cell of the list to pop up the Properties dialog box for the corresponding category. You can view and modify information such as the category's name, tags, and attribute styles.
    • Name: Displays the name of this category. You can also modify the name here.
    • Label: Enter relevant tags for the category. Tags (usually short keywords or any other words that can identify the template) can be used to retrieve categories. Chinese or English semicolons ";" can be used to separate multiple tags.
    • Marker Style: Used to set the marker style for this category. Click the setting button to pop up the corresponding selector to set the marker style. If the selected category belongs to a normal layer, setting the marker style is not supported.
    • Attributes: Used to set the attributes for this category. After setting, newly drawn object properties will automatically inherit the content set here. If the selected category belongs to a unique value thematic map, the single value expression field in the attributes will be automatically populated.
Notes:

If adding a new category to a unique value thematic map layer, the unique value thematic map field in the attributes is a mandatory field when setting properties during addition; otherwise, creation cannot be completed.
