View S-131

SuperMap iDesktopX supports importing *.gml data compliant with S-131 specifications into file databases, database datasources (PostGIS or DMPlus), or EMS datasources. Note that the target datasource for S-131 data import cannot be read-only.

Operation Instructions

  1. Open or create a datasource in the workspace to store *.gml files
  2. Right-click the opened writable datasource and select Import Nautical Chart Data->S-131...
  3. Select single or multiple S-131 *.gml files in the Import Nautical Chart Data dialog
  4. After file selection, the S-131 dialog displays selected files in a list format with the following configurable parameters:
    • Source File: Shows the imported *.gml filename
    • Source Data: Displays the path of imported chart data
    • Feature Encoding File: Shows the corresponding feature encoding file. Double-click the cell to modify the encoding file path
    • Target Datasource: Displays target datasource name. Use the dropdown to select other datasources in the current workspace
  5. After configuring parameters, click Import to complete S-131 chart data import. The data will be displayed as raster data under the corresponding datasource in the Workspace Manager

Browse Port Infrastructure Data

After importing S-131 files as chart groups, click or Shift-select multiple chart groups and choose Add to New Map or Add to Current Map from the context menu to quickly view port infrastructure data

Chart groups added to the map window will maintain group structure in the Layer Manager for easier layer management. As shown below, right-click map elements to query attributes and view detailed information in the right panel. For details, see: View feature object properties
