View S-131

Feature Description

SuperMap iDesktopX supports importing *.gml data that conforms to the S-131 data specification into file databases, database datasources (PostGIS or DMPlus), or EMS datasources. Note that the datasource used to import S-131 data cannot be a read-only datasource.

Function Entry

  • Start tab -> Data Processing group -> Data Import -> Chart -> S-131.
  • Datasource context menu -> Import Nautical Chart Data -> S-131.

Operation Instructions

  1. Open or create a datasource in the workspace to store the *.gml files.
  2. In the context menu of the opened readable datasource, select Import Nautical Chart Data -> S-131...
  3. In the Import Nautical Chart Data dialog box that appears, select one or more S-131 *.gml files.
  4. After selecting files, the selected files will be listed in the S-131 dialog box, and the following parameters can be viewed and edited:
    • Source File: Displays the name of the imported *.gml file.
    • Source Data: Displays the path of the imported chart data.
    • Feature Encoding File: Displays the feature encoding file corresponding to the imported source data. You can modify the encoding file path by double-clicking the cell.
    • Target Datasource: Displays the name of the target datasource. You can select other datasources in the current workspace from the drop-down list.
  5. After setting the above parameters, click the Import button to complete the import of the S-131 chart data. The data will be displayed under the corresponding datasource in the workspace manager as raster data.
Note:

The file path of the imported data cannot contain Chinese characters.

Browse Port Infrastructure Data

After importing S-131 files as chart groups, you can click or hold Shift to batch select the chart groups you want to browse, and then select Add to New Map or Add to Current Map from the context menu to quickly browse the port infrastructure data.

The chart groups added to the map window will remain displayed as groups in the layer manager, which facilitates layer management. As shown in the figure below, you can right-click the selected element objects to perform attribute queries and view detailed attributes in the right panel.
