River Label Alongline Example

Water bodies on maps include rivers, lakes, oceans, etc. On small to medium scale maps, curved lines represent the shape and position of rivers. When labeling linear rivers, it is important to use the label alongline function for river labeling, and the font for labels should be left-leaning Song typeface.

This application example introduces how to use cyclic labeling to label rivers by labeling major rivers in China.

By performing cyclic labeling of rivers in SuperMap iDesktopX and configuring the basemap, a standard and aesthetically pleasing river water system thematic map is obtained.
