Overview of Label Alongline
Label Alongline is used to set whether text is labeled along the direction of line objects. It is widely applied in drawing thematic maps. For elements such as roads, rivers, contour lines, and nautical chart routes, Label Alongline is required to annotate them.
The Label Alongline function can be used when creating label thematic maps with uniform style or graduated color style. It is located in the Label Thematic Map window's Advanced tab. This function is only effective for 2D line layers, route layers, and network layers.
This chapter will introduce the following content:
- Label Alongline: Introduces the parameters involved in setting Label Alongline and their functions.
- How to Perform Road Labeling: Introduces how to use label thematic maps to label roads.
- How to Perform River Labeling: Introduces how to use cyclic labeling to label rivers.
