The analysis primarily involves two aspects: visibility analysis between two or multiple points, and viewshed analysis to determine observable areas from given vantage points.
- Viewshed Analysis: A viewshed represents the visible ground area from one or multiple observation points. Conducted on raster data, viewshed analysis identifies visible areas from a specified observation point with given elevation parameters. The analysis result generates a raster dataset showing visibility coverage. This method applies to transmitter tower placement, radar coverage planning, and forest fire observation tower construction.
