MAP Migration

Instructions for Use

MAP Migration can migrate map documents from MapGIS to SuperMap workspace, including *.mpj project files and *.mapx map documents.

Function Entry

  • Data Migration tab -> MapGIS Data Migration group -> MAP Migration.

Operating Steps

  1. Click the MAP Migration button to pop up the MAP Migration dialog box.
  2. Select File is used to migrate a single file. Click the folder button to select a single MAP file, which can be in *.mpj or *.mapx format.
  3. Select Folder is used to batch migrate multiple files. Click the folder button to select a folder containing multiple MapGIS projects.
    Note:

When using Select Folder, the program will automatically traverse the selected folder to find the corresponding symbol library files. If the symbol library files are not in the same folder as the *.mpj project files, the folder containing the symbol library must have the same name as the folder containing the *.mpj project files to match correctly. Therefore, it is recommended to place the Slib symbol library in the same folder as the *.mpj project files.

  4. When using Select File, the "use specified symbol library" and "font library" checkboxes will be automatically selected. You can specify the system library path file, and the result data will be rendered with the specified system library symbol style.
  5. In the result path, set the storage path for the migrated result files; in the file name, set the name of the migrated result file.
  6. After completing the above settings, click the OK button to start the migration.

The comparison before and after MAP Migration is as follows:
