Configuration Instructions
To use MapGIS migration, you need to download MapGIS Desktop newest version, obtain a developer license, and configure the data migration extension package.

Configuration Steps
- Install MapGIS desktop tools (If versions 10.5 or 10.6 are already installed, you can use them directly)
- Download and install MapGIS 10 for Desktop. The download address is: http://www.smaryun.com/category.php?id=2.
- Follow the prompts in the installation package to install the MapGIS desktop tools.
- Obtain the MapGIS secondary development license:
- On the official website, log in and complete phone number verification, email verification, and WeChat verification.
- On the page Cloud Development World (smaryun.com), click Upgrade to Developer to obtain the basic development license for free.
- After upgrading to a developer, go to the page http://www.smaryun.com/dev/dev_auth_detail.php to download the basic development license package (named licence_key.zip). After extraction, double-click to run the .reg file to authorize successfully.

- After running, open the MapGIS Manager from the "Start" menu, click "Development License" to check the license status. If not authorized, you need to manually click Change to add the previously downloaded .reg file.

- Configure the data migration extension package
- Download the data migration extension package and extract it to a local folder.
- Open the extracted folder, copy all contents from the "Program" folder inside to the "Program" folder under the MapGIS installation directory. When copying, skip all files with the same name.

Common Problem Solutions

License verification failed: If prompted that loading the license failed, try the following solutions.

SuperMap license verification failed:

Check if the iDesktopX license is available.

Check if the data migration extension package corresponds to the version of the software currently in use. If not, restore the "Program" folder in the MapGIS installation directory, then download the corresponding version, reconfigure the environment, and retry the migration.

MapGIS license verification failed:

Open the MapGIS Manager and check if the development license is authorized.

Start SuperMap iDesktopX as an administrator to perform the migration.

Environment configuration problem: If prompted that the "MapGIS10 HOME" environment variable is not detected, try the following solutions.

Check the computer's environment variables: Check if "MapGIS10_HOME" exists in the environment variables; if not, you need to add it manually, with the value pointing to the MapGIS installation directory. After adding, you need to restart the desktop.

Check the software's environment variables: In File->Options->System Env, check if "MapGIS10_HOME" is loaded. If not, you need to add it manually. Click the Add tool above the environment variable list, and the Add Environment Variable dialog box will pop up. Enter MapGIS10_HOME in the Variable Name field, enter the MapGIS installation directory in the Variable Value field, and then click Confirm.
