Camera Point Offset

Function Description

The Camera Point Offset function moves the registered Dataset to the corresponding position in the map. Because there is a certain distortion in the video or picture taken by the camera, the distortion degree is generally small in the shooting center, and the farther away from the center, the greater the distortion degree. Distortion is also affected by shooting attitude images such as shooting distance and pitch angle. Therefore, the registered Video Dataset can only make the local area completely coincide with the map. If the current completely coincident area is not the area that the customer wants to be completely coincident, the Video Dataset can be moved to the area that needs to be completely coincident through this function.

Operating instructions

The operation of Camera Point Offset is as follows:

  • The registered Video Dataset and the Map Add to Map window
  • Select the Pick Coordinates item by right-clicking the data in the Map to view the information of the Pick Coordinates of the feature points in the map and the feature points in the Video Dataset, and view the information of the Pick Coordinates in the Output Window.
  • The X and y offsets are obtained by subtracting the coordinates of the Video Dataset feature points from the coordinates of the feature points in the map.
  • On the Video Registration tab-> Camera Parameter Conversion group, select the Camera Point Offset button and set the following parameters on the pop-up Camera Point Offset dialog:
    • Camera attitude file: Set the camera attitude file of the video data. For the acquisition of the camera attitude file, see Camera Parameter Registration Instance .
    • X: Set the field for storing X coordinates, and select according to the camera attitude File Info.
    • Y: Set the field for storing X coordinates, and select according to the camera attitude File Info.
    • X Offset: Sets the calculated X offset.
    • Y Offset: Sets the calculated Y offset.

After completing the above Parameter Settings, click the OK button to complete the Camera Point Offset operation. Then a CSV File will be generated again, which is the Camera Parameters after point offset correction. It is enough to reuse this file for Camera Parameter Registration.

Caution:
The unit for

calculating the input XY offset needs to be consistent with the coordinate unit in the Camera Parameters file, otherwise the offset result will be inaccurate.
