Edit Node

Function Description

Edit Node provides the ability to add, delete, and move nodes, modifying the geometry information of existing spatial objects.

Available only when a line or polygon object is selected in an editable layer.

Supported starting from SuperMap ImageX Pro 11i(2023) version.

Function Entry

  • Features Tab -> Feature Editing Group -> Edit Node.
  • Image Mosaic Tab -> Feature Editing Group -> Edit Node.

Operation Steps

  1. In the Layer Manager, set the line or polygon layer of the object that requires node editing to the Editable state.
  2. Select a line or polygon object to edit in the map.
  3. Click the Image Mosaic Tab -> Feature Editing Group -> Edit Node button; all nodes of the selected geometry will be displayed on the map.
  4. Modify the nodes of the geometry, including:
    • Add Node: Click the left mouse button on the selected geometry to add a node.
    • Move Node: Select a node on the geometry, hold down the left mouse button and drag to move the node.
    • Delete Node: Select a node on the geometry (or select multiple nodes continuously by holding the Shift/Ctrl key), then double-click the left mouse button or press the Delete key to delete the selected node(s).
  5. After editing the current object, you can directly select other geometries and repeat step 4 to complete node editing.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until node editing for all objects is completed. Click the Image Mosaic Tab -> Feature Editing Group -> Edit Node button or right-click on the map to end node editing.
