By setting the virtual-real mode, sublines can achieve an alternating solid and dash drawing effect. For detailed information about the virtual-real mode for sublines, please refer to the Virtual-Real Mode for Sublines section in Composition of 2D Line Symbols. The following mainly introduces how to implement the virtual-real mode drawing for sublines in the linear symbol editor.
As shown in the figure below, each subline in the subline list has a corresponding solid-dash designer. When you create a new subline, there is a default virtual-real mode.
Edit Solid/Dash Parts
Set the length of the solid part and dash part of the subline by entering values. The input values follow a "solid dash" cycle, in millimeters (mm), with precision to one decimal place. Enter as number + space, for example, "4 2" means: solid part length is 4mm, dash part length is 2mm. If all values in the cell are deleted or only one value is entered, the subline becomes a solid line.
Enlarge/Reduce
- Enlarge: Increase both the dash part and solid part on the virtual-real mode designer by one unit.
- Reduce: Decrease both the dash part and solid part on the virtual-real mode designer by one unit.
Operation Instructions
- Right-click anywhere on the virtual-real mode designer.
- Select Enlarge/Reduce in the context menu to complete the enlarge/reduce operation, then all dash parts and solid parts in the virtual-real mode designer will increase/decrease by one unit.
Virtuality/Reality
Virtuality/Reality: Swap the original solid part to dash part and the original dash part to solid part.
Operation Instructions
- Right-click anywhere on the virtual-real mode designer.
- Select Virtuality/Reality in the context menu to complete the swap operation, then all original solid parts in the virtual-real mode designer become dash parts, and all original dash parts become solid parts.
