"Properties" Tab

Used to set the style of the statistical charts in the statistical thematic map. All settings in this tab will be reflected in real-time on the current statistical label thematic map, achieving what-you-see-is-what-you-get.

  1. Color: The "Color Scheme:" combo box dropdown lists the colors provided by the system. Select the desired color scheme, and the system will automatically allocate the thematic style for each rendering field value based on the selected color. Users can click the drop-down button on the right side of the combo box, then select a color from the pop-up dropdown list. Each statistic field in the current statistical thematic map will be assigned a different color based on the color variation mode.
  2. Diagrams Type: The system provides 11 types of statistical diagrams for users to choose from: line chart, point chart, bar chart, 3D bar, pie chart, 3D pie, rose chart, 3D rose, stacked bar, 3D stacked bar, ring chart. Users can click the drop-down button on the right side of the "Graph Type:" item, then select the desired diagrams type from the pop-up dropdown list.
  3. Statistical Value Resampling Methods: Used to determine the size of the statistical diagram and the proportion of each thematic variable in the diagram. The system provides three statistical value resampling methods: constant, logarithmic, and square root. For fields with negative values, logarithmic and square root methods cannot be selected.
    • Constant: Performs grading operations based on the linear proportion of the original values in the attribute table.
    • Logarithmic: Performs grading operations based on the linear proportion of the natural logarithm of the original values in the attribute table.
    • Square Root: Performs grading operations based on the linear proportion of the square root of the original values in the attribute table.
  4. Add or Remove Field: The statistical thematic map can express one or more field values through diagrams. Users can add or remove statistic fields for the current statistical thematic map using the "Add" and "Remove" buttons on the toolbar in the middle of the "Properties" tab. The current statistical thematic map will immediately re-map based on the modified thematic variables and refresh the display effects.
    • Add Field: Click the drop-down button of the "Add" button on the toolbar, then select the checkbox in front of the statistic field to be added from the pop-up list of all fields in the thematic map layer. Alternatively, click the "Expression..." item in the field list to build a field expression in the pop-up SQL Expression dialog box, which serves as the statistic field for the statistical thematic map.
    • Remove Field: In the statistic field list at the bottom of the "Properties" tab, select one or more statistic fields to be removed, then click the "Remove" button on the toolbar to remove the unwanted fields.
  5. Move Field Up/Down: Users can change the position of selected fields in the list box using the four move field buttons on the toolbar in the middle of the "Properties" tab. The position of fields in the list box affects their position in the created statistical thematic map.
    • Top button: Moves the selected field to the top of the field list.
    • Move up button: Moves the selected field up by one position.
    • Move down button: Moves the selected field down by one position.
    • Bottom button: Moves the selected field to the bottom of the field list.
  6. Statistical Diagram Styles: Set the style of the statistical diagram via the "Styles" button on the toolbar in the middle of the "Properties" tab, or by clicking the "Styles" button for each field in the field list.
    • "Fill Style" button: Select one or more fields in the statistic field list, click this button to uniformly set the fill style for the selected fields in the pop-up "Styles" window (for specific operations, refer to: Set Fill Marker Style). Users can hold the Shift key to select multiple fields. Alternatively, directly click the "Fill Style" item for the corresponding field in the field list to modify the style of that field's statistical diagram in the pop-up "Styles" window.
    • When modifying the style of multiple thematic sub-items, hold the Shift key to select the sub-items to modify, then click the "Style" button on the toolbar. A "Change Style" dialog will pop up, allowing batch modifications. For details, refer to: Change Style.

Notes

When the diagram type is "Area Chart" or "Step Chart", only the color of the first segment in the selected color scheme is supported.
