Generate Nearby Points

Function Description

Use to move a point object around a line or face to the line or face boundary.

Application scenario

  • In order to drive safely, there will be electronic eyes, radar monitoring, road signs and other equipment stations on the highway. In the process of mapping and vectorization, it may happen that these equipment points are not on the central line of the highway, and the direction and distance of the equipment points relative to the line are irregular. However, it is necessary to move the equipment point to the line so as to count the number of equipment existing on each road section.
  • In the actual measurement of highway and canal cross section, it is difficult to accurately collect the measuring points on the position of the cross section line. When drawing the cross section, it is necessary to project the survey points onto the section line. However, it is inefficient to move the measuring points manually.

Moving a point object to a line has the following effect:

Function entrance

Parameter Description

  • Source Data:
    • Datasource: Set the Datasource where the Point Dataset to be moved is located.
    • Dataset: Set the Dataset Name of the point to be moved.
  • Proximity Data
    • Datasource: Sets the line to which the Point Dataset is moved or the Datasource where the Region Dataset is located.
    • Dataset: Sets the Dataset Name of the line or face to which the Point Dataset is moved.
  • Parameter Settings
    • Tolerance: Set the tolerance value to move the point object whose distance from the line/face object is less than tolerance value to the line or face.
  • Result Data
    • Datasource: Set the Datasource stored by the Point Dataset after moving.
    • Dataset: Set the Dataset Name of the moved point.
