Validate Topology: Before constructing polygons from line datasets, it is recommended to perform topology processing on the input dataset. This process automatically repairs line features with topological errors (such as pseudo nodes, redundant vertices, dangling lines, duplicate lines, unmerged adjacent endpoints, etc.) within specified tolerances, and splits intersecting lines at intersection points to ensure accurate polygon generation. This preprocessing eliminates the need to manually delete redundant objects after polygon construction.
When the Topology Processing checkbox is selected, the following processing rules become available: Remove pseudo nodes, Remove redundant vertices, Remove duplicate lines, Remove overshoots, Extend undershoots, Merge adjacent ends, and Intersect arcs. Users can select appropriate rules for topological preprocessing according to their needs. Detailed descriptions of these rules can be found in Topology Processing Rules.
Short Dangle: A dangling line shorter than this tolerance will be processed.
Long Dangle: A dangling line that intersects with other arcs when extended by this tolerance length will be processed.
Fuzzy: Nodes within this tolerance value are considered coincident and identical.
Datasource: Specifies the output datasource.
Dataset: Defines the name for the resulting dataset.
