Filter Settings

Feature Description

In the Display Filter group of the chart Properties panel, various controls are provided to customize chart display effects, including display type, metaobjects, soundings, cell numbers, etc. Setting filters can optimize the chart browsing experience, reduce unnecessary information interference, quickly locate key content, and improve browsing and analysis efficiency.

Steps

  1. Load the chart group to be browsed into the map.
  2. Select the Chart Tab -> Nautical Chart Properties group -> click the Nautical Chart Properties button. The Nautical Chart Properties panel will appear on the right side. Expand the Depth Settings group.
  3. The Show Settings group contains the following options:
  • Display type:
    • Standard: Default chart display content
    • Basic: Only shows non-removable basic content
    • Other: User-defined options such as soundings, metaobjects, text, etc.
  • Element Settings: Configure the display and selection status of objects in the map. Check Visible to make objects visible, check Selectable to make objects selectable. For details, see: Chart Feature Display Control.
  • Checkbox options:
    • Show MetaObject: Controls whether to show metaobjects. Available only when display type is Other.
    • Display Soundings: Controls whether to display sounding values. Available only when display type is Other.
    • Display Cell Number: Controls whether to display cell numbers.
    • Show Cell Border: Controls whether to display the outer border of the current chart cell.
    • Localization Display Text: Controls whether object text is displayed in a localized manner. Available only when Display Text Message is checked.
    • Display Text Message: Controls whether to display text messages.
    • Display Low Accurate Marker: Controls whether to display symbols for data with insufficient measurement accuracy. In chart data, the QUAPOS field indicates data accuracy or credibility. These data may display low accuracy markers. In S-52 standards, such symbols are represented as LOWACC01.
    • Associated with Minvisible Scale: Controls object visibility according to chart scale. Many chart objects contain a minimum scale field SCAMIN. When this field has a valid value, objects will be hidden if the current map scale is smaller than this value. Use Update SCAMIN to adjust settings.
    • Display Safety Contour Label: Controls whether to display safety contour labels. See Depth Settings for more about depth contours.
    • Display Other Contour Label: Controls whether to display other contour labels. See Depth Settings for more about depth contours.
