Modify Feature Object Properties
Instructions for Use
Feature object properties are crucial in practical applications. They not only serve as the foundation for ensuring safety and accuracy in ship navigation but are also a key step in guaranteeing the accuracy of chart production and correct symbolization. SuperMap iMaritimeEditor supports modifying the properties of S-101 electronic chart feature objects, including attributes, related information, and connective tissue.
Function Entry
- Map->Context Menu of Selected Object->Properties.
Operation Steps
Edit Object Properties Information
- Right-click the S101 group in the Workspace Manager, select Edit to open the data into the map.
- Select an object in the map, then right-click and choose the Properties option from the context menu.
- In the popped-up Properties window, select the Properties tab. Click the cell in the Value column of the list or the drop-down button in the cell to input or modify the attribute value of the selected object.
Modify Related Information
- Right-click the S101 group in the Workspace Manager, select Edit to open the data into the map.
- Select an object in the map, then right-click and choose the Properties option from the context menu.
- In the popped-up Properties window, select the Related Information tab to view the existing related information of the selected object. Click the Delete button above the list to delete the selected record.
- Click the Add button above the list to pop up the Add Information Association dialog box. Then select the information types and RCID to be associated, and click the OK button to add a related information.
Note:
The selectable related information is determined by the type of the selected object. If there are no information types that match the selected object, related information cannot be added. You need to first add new information types before adding related information.
Modify Connective Tissue
- Right-click the S101 group in the Workspace Manager, select Edit to open the data into the map.
- Select an object in the map, then right-click and choose the Properties option from the context menu.
- In the popped-up Properties window, select the Connective Tissue tab to view the connective tissue of the selected object. Click the Delete button above the list to delete the selected record.
- Click the add button above the list to pop up the Add Feature Object window. Select a feature object from the Object Abbreviation drop-down list.
- After selecting the feature object, the list below will display the associable features. Make selections as needed. After selecting a connective tissue in the left list, the Feature Type and Association Type of the selected feature will be displayed in the right list.
- After completing the selection, click the OK button in the dialog box.
