Modify Unique Value Thematic Map

Instructions for use

You can modify the parameters of the unique value thematic map in the thematic map window to achieve a thematic map effect that better meets your needs.

Operating Steps

In the "unique value thematic map window," two tabs will appear: "Properties" and "Advanced" tabs, and the "Properties" tab page is displayed by default. Users can set the properties and advanced display parameters of the current unique value thematic map in the "Properties" and "Advanced" tabs. The details are as follows:

  1. In the layer manager, select a unique value thematic map layer, right-click the "modify thematic map" command, and the "unique value thematic map" window will pop up, displaying the settings information of the currently selected unique value thematic map.
  2. The settings for creating a unique value thematic map with different types of vector layers may vary slightly. Users need to configure them based on actual usage scenarios.
  3. All parameters in the "unique value thematic map" window are reflected in real-time on the corresponding thematic map layer in the current map, achieving a what-you-see-is-what-you-get effect. Users can also disable real-time refresh by unchecking the "enable instant refresh" checkbox at the bottom of the dialog box. If the "enable instant refresh" checkbox is unchecked, after completing all parameters, users can click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the dialog box to apply the parameters to the current thematic map.

Notes

  1. Unique value thematic maps created or modified by users can be saved as templates to be applied to the creation of thematic maps for other layers. For details on saving as a thematic map template, refer to: Save to Thematic Map Template Library.
  2. When creating a thematic map using a template from the save to template library, users need to first open the "create thematic map" dialog box, select the saved template from the template library of the corresponding thematic type, and apply it to the creation of thematic maps for other datasets of the same type.
