Symbol Library Management

Instructions for Use

Symbol Library Management supports adding custom symbol libraries and can manage the display of symbol libraries in the selector. Besides workspace resources, it by default provides four additional symbol libraries: Symbols for the Third National Land Survey, 3D Symbol, Basic Symbol, and Auto Cartographic Symbols. Taking point symbols as an example, this section introduces the functions of Symbol Library Management.

Function Entrances

  • Workspace Manager->Resource node->Marker Symbol Library->Symbol Library Management.
  • Styles tab -> Point Style group -> PointSymbol dropdown->More Symbols option->Symbol Library Management button.

Operation Steps

  1. Click the Add Symbol Library button to open the Add Symbol Library dialog box. Select the symbol library path, fill in the symbol library name, and click the Confirm button to add an additional symbol library.
  2. Select a symbol library in the list below, and click the Export button to export the symbol library to your local machine.
  3. Check the to the left of the symbol library in the list to control its display in the selector dialog box.
