Point Symbol Style Settings (Scene)
Instructions for Use
In a 3D scene, different types of point symbols support different parameter settings. The system supports three types of point symbols: vector point symbols, raster point symbols, and 3D model symbols.
Function Access
- Styles Tab -> Point Style Group.
Operation Steps
- Select Point Symbol: In the marker symbol selector, select the desired symbol.
- Set Symbol Display Style: The system supports three types of point symbols: vector point symbols, raster point symbols, and 3D model symbols.
In the symbol library window, in the symbol style settings area, you can set the style based on the type of selected point symbol. Below, the set parameters for each type of point symbol are introduced separately.
-
Vector Point Symbol
- Symbol Size: This area is used to set the size of the point symbol.
- Symbol Color: Set the color of the point symbol. Click the drop-down button on its right to select a default color from the pop-up color panel, or click the Other Colors... button at the bottom to access more custom colors.
- Symbol Rotation:
- 3D Model Symbol
- Symbol Size: This area is used to set the size of the point symbol.
- X-axis Scale Ratio: Set the scale ratio of the 3D model symbol on the X-axis. Users can enter a value in the numeric display box on its right; or click the arrow on the right side of the box to use the pop-up slider to adjust the symbol width. In the preview effect, the snapshot of the model symbol changes in width.
- Y-axis Scale Ratio: Set the scale ratio of the 3D model symbol on the Y-axis. Users can enter a value in the numeric display box on its right; or click the arrow on the right side of the box to use the pop-up slider to adjust the symbol height. In the preview effect, the snapshot of the model symbol changes in height.
- Z-axis Scale Ratio: Set the scale ratio of the 3D model symbol on the Z-axis. Users can enter a value in the numeric display box on its right; or click the arrow on the right side of the box to use the pop-up slider to adjust the symbol height. Since the preview shows a snapshot of the model symbol, changes to the Z-axis scale ratio are not visible in the preview.
- Lock Aspect Ratio: This checkbox is used to set whether to fix the aspect ratio of the symbol's X, Y, and Z axes when changing their scale ratios. The system defaults to unchecked. If checked, modifying one axis will automatically adjust the others accordingly.
- Transparency: This parameter is invalid for 3D model symbols and cannot be set by users.
- Symbol Size: This area is used to set the size of the point symbol.
- Raster Point Symbol
- Transparency: Set the transparency effect of the point symbol. Users can enter a value in the numeric display box on its right; or click the arrow on the right side of the box to use the pop-up slider to adjust transparency. Transparency values are integers from 0 to 100, where 0 represents completely opaque and 100 represents fully transparent.
- After setting is completed, click the OK button in the symbol library window to apply the symbol settings.

- When styling a vector tile layer, only 3D symbols are supported.
