Save Video

Feature Description

The Save Video feature allows exporting videos from video datasets. Users can specify custom start and end time points to flexibly extract any video segment. When vector data is overlaid on the video, this feature preserves both the video content and vector overlay effects during export. This enables effective sharing of key findings and demonstration of integrated video-vector applications.

Feature Entry

  • Video Maps Tab -> Manage Video Group -> Save Video. (The Video Maps tab is only available when the current window is a video map)

Steps

  1. Select video start time and storage path:
    • Drag the playback progress bar of the video dataset to the desired start time point (recommended to set playback status to Stop). Click Video Maps Tab -> Manage Video Group -> Save Video to open the dialog. Check Save Video, specify filename, then click OK. The Output Window will display: "Video path configured successfully. Please play the video content and click Save Video again to complete."
    • Output Scene: Disabled by default. When enabled, overlaid vector data will be preserved in the exported video.
  2. Select video end time:

Set video dataset playback status to Play. When reaching the desired end time point, click Video Maps Tab -> Manage Video Group -> Save Video again. The Output Window will confirm: "Video saved successfully. Save path..." indicating successful export.

Notes:

The saved video can only be played after completing both steps above.
