Edit the object object

Instructions for use

Object Editing is a commonly used Geometry modification operation in chart production. Common scenarios include merging multiple water depth range surfaces into one object for unified management, or solving the problem of gaps between adjacent objects through node editing and adding node functions. In order to improve the efficiency of Data Processing, the system provides 15 common editing functions, and the specific functions are as follows:

  • Edit Node

    • Edit Node : Operate on the selected Geometry node, including Add, Move and Delete Node, and change the shape and position of the object.

  • Object Operation

    • Line Split : Divides a line or face object by a temporary line drawn so that all divided objects are separated by the new boundary.

    • Polygon Split : Target is split by a temporary split face drawn, and the line or Region crossed is split.

    • Combine : Combine any objects (lines and faces of the same or different types) in the current layer as Compound, and the inclusion relationship is handled as Donut Polygon.

    • Merge : Merge multiple face or line objects into one and unify Attributes.

    • Explode : Explodes a complex object or Compound into a single or complex object.

    • Intersect : Calculates and retains the common part of two or more objects, creates a new object, and deletes the rest.

    • Erase : Delete the part of the Target that overlaps with the erased object.

    • Xor : Removes the common part of two or more objects and merges the rest into a new object.

    • Protective Decomposition : When decomposing a complex object or Compound, keep the island hole and decompose the object that is not in the island hole relationship.
  • Edit EndPoint
    • Break : Breaks the line object into a new independent object. After the operation, the two newly generated line objects are displayed in different colors.

    • Connector: Connects two or more simple line objects into one line object. Supports head-to-tail connection and adjacent point connection.

  • Object Operation

    • Resample : Reduces the number of nodes on the boundary of a line or face object while keeping the shape as constant as possible to optimize the data.

    • Smooth : Smoothes the boundary of a line or face object so that the polyline becomes a continuous smooth curve.

    • Change Direction : Change the direction of the selected line object.
