Export *.XModel File

Instructions for use

*.X file is a kind of 3DModel File developed by Microsoft, which is mainly used to store Model Object (vertex information) and related textures, actions, etc. *.X file is a template-driven structured file, which has the advantages of free structure, rich content, easy use and high portability. supports exporting CAD 3D Model Dataest to *.X Model File, which is convenient for users to use these models in other Applications.

Function entrance

  • Click the Start tab-> Data Processing-> Data Export button;
  • Workspace Manager-> Datasource or Dataset Context Menu-> Export Dataset Options.

Operating instructions

  1. On the toolbar of the Data Export dialog, click the Add File button to add a CAD Model Dataest to be exported. Please refer to the introduction of Export Data .
  2. After adding, set the Basic Parameters of Export Data.
    • Export Type: Click the cell below Export Type to display the combo box. Click the drop-down arrow of the combo box and select.XModel File for the Export Type.
    • Result File: Dataset Name after Dataset is exported.
    • Overwrite: If a Dataset with the same name already exists, the contents of the Dataset will be overwritten.
    • Status: before export, the status is not transferred; after export, the status is successful.
    • Export Path: File path of Dataset to be exported. Double-click the cell below Export Path to pop up the Browse Folder window, and set the directory path of the Dataset to be exported.
  3. After setting, click the Export button to export the *.X Model File.
  4. After successful export, multiple.x files and pictures will be generated under the specified Export Path. A Model Object in the CAD Model Dataest is exported as a *.X file; where the picture is the Material Texture map in the model. The.X file is named as CAD Model Data name + number.
